The Columbus Black & Minority Chamber of Commerce, Inc was founded by Theresa Harris and Wane Hailes to address the divide between those businesses that were successful and those who were experiencing marginal success. With the average minority business failing within five months, CBMCC was birth to address the growing concern for this anomaly.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 
 

 

Mission Statement

 

Improve the business and professional conditions of the Black, Hispanic and other minority-owned business community in Muscogee County.


Serve as a point of contact to the community, representing the members and their business interests by providing referrals, public comment, response, and visibility in an official capacity.


Serve as the advocacy organization for increasing Black, Hispanic and other minority-owned business participation in city, county, state, and corporate procurement.


Work with political leaders to promote policies and activity that support the common business interests of Chamber members.


Provide members with networking opportunities that promote business.


Raise funds in support of the interests of the Black, Hispanic and other minority-owned business community.


Host professional development workshops and informational seminars to assist members to develop and grow their businesses.


Act as a mentor resource to new and developing Black, Hispanic and other minority owned businesses.
